HOW TO REPLACE THE BURNER COVERS

In most of the appliances ‘Gas-on-glass’ hobs, the burner covers are glued with silicone to the hob glass. To mount new ones, it is required to additionally order gaskets according to spare part list to replace silicone. Since some models don’t use gaskets it’s necessary to order the tube of silicone with spare part number 4071354783 to replace the burner cover.

1. Unscrew the screws holding old cover to hob

2. Remove the old cover using a tool with rounded edge not to scratch the glass surface.

3. Remove remaining silicone from glass surface.

4. Clean glass surface from silicone residue.

5. Replace the old cover by the new one using gasket according to spare part list for proper type of burner (if gasket not applicable for the appliance, move to step 5 with silicone assembly).

6. Mount cover using the same screws and fix it tightly.

From step 5 since all previous steps are the same:

5. Apply only one silicone ring on glass border.

6. Install new cover based on screw holes position located on gas burner to allow the cover fixation in the right position.

7. Use a cloth wet of acetone in case of necessity to remove excess of silicone.

8. Do not use hob for approximately 1 day to allow silicone to dry out.
